Not a bad place to eat some traditional Romanian food. Although I went for some fried chicken wings with cips as I had a few beers my friends did say their soup and meat was delicious. The only think I did not like it was the chicken wings were kind of dry-not crispy, looks like they were just warmed up in microwave a few times and been in the kitchen for a while. Points up for serving their homemade bread . It’s been good taste. Good points to staff as then I went and asked for some pickles they have brought it. An advice guys. The sauce pot u serving it’s kind of too small, definitely need to get some bigger pots. And if you want an idea how does look a tasty fried crispy bbq chicken wings have a look in Weatherspoons in town. They are making some amazing stuff there.
I recently visited this Restaurant twice and had the opportunity to try two soups and two main courses. The food was undeniably tasty, and the flavors were delightful. Soup+main is so fulfilling that I found it necessary to rest, because moving was difficult, likely due to the rich and hearty nature of the dishes (Thumbs up for portion size) In terms of pricing, the mains are reasonably priced and offer good value for money. However, I found the soups to be a bit too expensive for what they offered. Overall, I would rate my experience at this Restaurant an 8 out of 10. The main reason for this lower score is the use of wooden plates. Even though i underatand it is most likely being used wishing to elevate the authenticity of dishes and old traditions, These plates have visible cracks and appear to have been used by lots of other customers, which raises concerns about food hygiene. While the food itself is commendable and i will be returning to try other dishes on the menu, I hope the restaurant can address the issue with the plates to ensure a more hygienic dining experience. Thanks
Good food to share with friends and a nice change from all other options in the area, bringing a bit of diversity. Loved the lemonade too. Service is not very good, takes a while to take the orders. The layout of the restaurant makes for tight spaces which means people bumping into customers when moving through the tables. Music played in the background was not my style (but each to their own) however, I felt the volume level was taking away from the conversation. As it is a rather cosy place and rather popular, it makes for a difficult conversation. Great parking space and a nice little beer garden at the back which must be lovely at the right time of the year. All in all, good potential and I hope they continue to improve and get loads of customers.
Great food at a great price. Lamb chops were cooked perfect, carbonara was very nice too. You won't leave here hungry that's for sure!
